Valley of flowers trek cost
While visiting valley of flowers we share common road transport and hotels with other tourist destinations like Badrianth and Shri Hemkund Sahib. Peak season for these two destinations affects the cost to Valley of Flowers trek. May and June is the peak season for Badrianth and June is the peak season for Shri Hemkund Sahib. Cost to Valley of Flowers trek depends upon following factors.
Season of visit to Valley of Flowers: – The cost of trekking to Valley of Flowers is very much dependent upon the month of the visit. We can divide it into two parts.
In the month of June: – If you visit Valley of Flowers in the month of May or June the cost to visit will be highest. This is the season when most parts in India have school holidays. Although people travelling to Valley of Flowers are very few but as the base camp for it is shared with the one for Shri Hemkund Sahib and thus the village Ghangaria will be crowded with lots of Sikh community people visiting gurudwara Shri Hemkund sahib. So the cost of rooms will be at least three fold during this time and also the cost of transport will be very high.

In the month of July: – According to us, this is the month when you should visit Valley of Flowers. Especially in the first half of the month, as you will find beautiful glaciers. You can find different type of flowers and Valley of Flowers will be in full bloom. As it is not the peak season for Badrianth and Shri Hemkund Sahib you will find fewer crowds in village Ghangaria and Badrianth.

Terms and Conditions of the trekking tour
The cost includes staying, transportation and three meals per day. However if you are coming in a group of five or more we may offer you some discount. Kindly contact us for more details. The trek program is given on trek page. The tour will be of six days and five nights. If due to unavoidable circumstances we need to extend our tour (e.g. Road blockage due to landslide) you need to pay Rs. 2000 per day extra.

Devkant ji, I wanted to visit earlier in August, just wanted to know, if I plan to stay 1-2 days more to visit some wilderness in valley what would be the extra cost with all your arrangements?
We already have one extra day in our departures during peak season. You may visit our fixed departures to Valley of Flowers in 2013 page for more details. On August 4, 2013 we have a departure in which we will go to Valley of Flowers for two days instead of just one day. And on second day we will go into deeper parts of Valley of Flowers. Please see our deeper parts of Valley of Flowers gallery to see some of the pictures of deeper parts. I will be personally accompanying all my groups at least for the trekking part. To know the cost part of this trip kindly fill in a small form available on all pages of this website and you will be mailed a detailed itinerary along with other terms and conditions of the trip.
Do you provide any short trip between Govindghat, Valley of Flowers and Govindghat in 1 or 2 days. Is that possible? how much cost you charge for 15 people.
From Govindghat to Valley of Flowers and back to Govindghat it will be minimum of 3 days.
Day 1 Govindgaht to Ghangaria.
Day 2 Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers and back.
Day 3 Ghangaria to Govindghat.
You need stay as follows
One night at Govindghat. (Before start of trek)
Two nights at Ghangaria

Hello, my parents would like to visit valley in July later half sometime. Please tell me regarding trip options. They are 60 years old but are fit to walk. I went in 2012 summer with them on a hike in a canyon about 7 miles uphill when getting out. Thanks.

Last year some of my clients were senior citizens and they went up to Valley of Flowers. All you need to do is follow my instructions then there will be no problem. You can hire pony wherever available and conserve energy for day to Valley of Flowers. You may read this travelogue by a senior citizen. Valley of Flowers closes officially on 4th October every year. It will again open on 1st May next year. We do organize trekking tours to Valley of Flowers. You are most welcome to come again next year when season starts. I will personally be going with the groups.
hi, its great to come accross your website on the Valley of Flowers and to know that you take groups up there. wish i had seen it earlier. i recently went to the valley with my wife and children. we were there on 6th july. it may not have been the right time but we had no other option. still it was a wonderful experience and to repeat that experience i will visit again during the peak flowering time with you and a few friends maybe next year. we saw many flowers some of which i photographed and have put up on my facebook page and in tripadvisor. we were lucky to have with us the forest beat officer Mr. Bisht who told us the names of many of the flowers, but i missed the name of the dark purple ones that are in blue on your page and i have selected them so that you can tell me the name. hope to hear from you. thanks!

What is my chance of seeing those flowers including Brhamakamal during this time this year?
Brahankamals are generally seen after 10th July only. You may not be able to see the flowers. However there will be lot of snow during this time of the year. Brahamkamals are found on the way to Hemkund Sahib and not in Valley of Flowers. It also seen in past few years that people visiting Hemkund Sahib pluck Brahamkamal flower in abundance. It is very bad. I appeal to everyone going to Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib please conserve nature and don’t pluck flowers. Otherwise after some years we will not be able to see any Brahamkamal flower. It is also a crime under India law. Thanks in advance for not damaging nature.

This is not a good idea this time to go in first week of July, As Shiv Ratri will be on 10th of July and people from north India visit in huge number to Haridwar and Rishikesh before that to bring Ganga water. However we are organizing a trip to Valley of Flowers starting from 9th July to 14th July from Haridwar. You can book your seats in that group.
